For over 35 years Toolmex® has expertly served the industrial manufacturing industry as a designer, distributor and wholesaler of productivity performing Bison® Workholding, TMX® Cutting Tools, Elektrim® Motors and Toolmex Machinery. Headquartered in Natick, MA with additional operations in Schaumburg, IL, Toolmex products are widely used by large and small manufacturers and machine shops distributed via tooling and machinery distributors as well as major tooling catalog resellers throughout the Americas.
Toolmex began in the US through a close product development and distribution partnership with the Polish workholding manufacturer Bison. Similarly the company introduced high quality, specialized Elektrim motors for industrial use in conjunction with Elektrim from Poland. Under both arrangements Toolmex flourished. Expansion continued in the late 1970's when the company introduced a complete line of European machinery with specialization in lathes now called Toolmex Machinery and also started marketing carbide inserts. In 1998 indexable TMX Tooling Technologies were added.
In 2000 Toolmex became a privately held US company later shifting management to today's majority shareholder, CEO and President, Ark Kielb. Under Mr. Kielb's leadership Toolmex has embarked on a major expansion strategy for growth through the addition of professional management, major investments in product development, distribution capacity, and customer service as well as a firm commitment to the company's marketing and brands. In 2008 Quantum™ Mill Series were introduced under the TMX brand delivering demanding customers dramatically improved productivity and performance via advanced geometries and other technology innovations. Concurrently the Quality Assurance Lab™ (QAL) was formed to reinforce the transformation of Toolmex into a world-class developer and provider of tooling, machines and motors.
